South Hills Huskies (West Covina, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Chino Cowboys (Chino, CA), 8-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Huskies now own a 3-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Glendora for a non-league challenge on Friday, February 17. South Hills will face a Tartans squad coming off a 10-0 non-league win over Citrus Valley (Redlands, CA). The Tartans record now stands at 2-1.

With the loss, Chino falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Cowboys travel to Upland (Upland, CA) to face the Highlanders/Scots in a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 16. The Highlanders/Scots enter the challenge with a record of 1-1. Upland won 14-5 in their recent non-league challenge against Citrus Valley (Redlands, CA)
