The Port Aransas Marlins (Port Aransas, TX) softball routed the host John Paul II Centurions (Corpus Christi, TX), 15-1 in Thursday's non-league bout.
The Marlins (1-1) will now prepare for their bout against Taft (Taft, TX). The Greyhounds go into the non-league bout with a 1-0 record. In their last bout, Taft notched a victory over West Oso (Corpus Christi, TX), 17-0, in a non-league bout.
The Centurions now possess a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Kaufer for a non-league bout on Saturday, February 18. John Paul II will confront a Seahawks squad coming off a 9-4 non-league loss to St. Joseph (Victoria, TX). The Seahawks record now stands at 6-3.
