California High School Softball - Marquez nudges Mendez

Marquez Gladiators (Huntington Park, CA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Mendez Jaguars (Los Angeles, CA), 7-6 in a non-league challenge.

The Gladiators now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Wilson for a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 23.

With the loss, Mendez falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Jaguars travel to Franklin (Los Angeles, CA) to face the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Friday, February 24. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 0-1.
