With the triumph, McAllen improves its record to 1-0 on the year. The Bulldogs travel to La Feria (La Feria, TX) to clash with the Lions in a non-league game on Friday, February 17. The Lions come into the game with a record of 2-0. La Feria won 4-2 in their recent non-league game against Rio Hondo (Rio Hondo, TX)

In their next game, the Cowboys clash with the Veterans Memorial Chargers (Brownsville, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 32 game, on Tuesday, February 21. Porter will attempt to improve on its 0-2 season record. The Chargers come into the game with a 3-3 record after their 9-1 non-league win over Palmview (La Joya, TX).
