Winnsboro Raiders (Winnsboro, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the host North Lamar Panthers (Paris, TX), 15-3 in a non-league challenge.
The Raiders now own a 3-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Anna for a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 16. Winnsboro will battle a Coyotes squad coming off a 15-6 non-league loss to S & S Consolidated (Sadler, TX). The Coyotes record now stands at 0-1.
With the loss, North Lamar falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Mineola (Mineola, TX) to battle the Yellowjackets in a non-league challenge on Friday, February 17. The Yellowjackets enter the challenge with a record of 0-4.
