Kentucky High School Basketball - Simon Kenton nips Anderson County

Simon Kenton Pioneers (Independence, KY) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Anderson County Bearcats (Lawrenceburg, KY), 58-52 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Simon Kenton upgrades its record to 13-14 on the campaign. The Pioneers host Highlands (Fort Thomas, KY) to play the Bluebirds in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 20. The Bluebirds come into the bout with a record of 16-12. Highlands lost 66-47 in their recent non-league bout against Conner (Hebron, KY)

Next up, the Bearcats play the Owen County Rebels (Owenton, KY) in a non-league game, on Saturday, February 17. Anderson County will attempt to move on its 15-10 season record. The Rebels enter the game with a 16-11 record after their 66-64 non-league loss to Shelby County (Shelbyville, KY).
