Kansas High School Basketball - Newton overwhelmed by Andover

The Newton Railroaders basketball team (Newton, KS), was routed 66-32 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Andover Trojans (Andover, KS)

The Trojans now sport a 14-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Salina Central for a non-league battle on Tuesday, February 20. Andover will battle a Mustangs team coming off a 67-64 non-league loss to Valley Center (Valley Center, KS). The Mustangs record now stands at 6-12.

The Railroaders (2-14) will now prepare for their battle against Derby (Derby, KS). The Panthers come into the Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail I battle with a 10-7 record. In their last battle, Derby was routed by Maize South (Wichita, KS), 50-46, in a non-league battle.
