Connecticut High School Basketball - Bassick overwhelmed by Staples

The Bassick Lions basketball team (Bridgeport, CT), was routed 86-42 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Staples Wreckers (Westport, CT)

The Wreckers now sport a 13-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to St. Joseph for a Fairfield County battle on Monday, February 19. Staples will battle a Cadets team coming off a 62-57 league win over New Canaan (New Canaan, CT). The Cadets record now stands at 11-7.

The Lions (3-14) will now prepare for their battle against Harding (Bridgeport, CT). The Presidents come into the non-league battle with a 6-12 record. In their last battle, Harding trounced Valley Regional (Deep River, CT), 57-39, in a non-league battle.
