The Hickman Kewpies (Columbia, MO) basketball knocked off the visiting Battle Spartans (Columbia, MO), 72-59 in Friday's league test.
The Kewpies (17-5) will now prepare for their test against Vashon (St. Louis, MO). The Wolverines go into the non-league test with a 17-7 record.
The Spartans now own a 18-6 record. They play next when they travel to Rock Bridge for a Central Missouri test on Monday, February 19. Battle will encounter a Bruins squad coming off a 63-42 non-league win over Pembroke Hill (Kansas City, MO). The Bruins record now stands at 15-5.
