Blazer Tomcats (Ashland, KY) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Lawrence County Bulldogs (Louisa, KY), 73-63 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Blazer upgrades its record to 19-8 on the season. The Tomcats host Great Crossing (Georgetown, KY) to clash with the in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 17. The go into the bout with a record of 27-1. Great Crossing won 83-52 in their recent non-league bout against Grant County (Dry Ridge, KY)

Next up, the Bulldogs clash with the Pike County Central Hawks (Pikeville, KY) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 20. Lawrence County will attempt to upgrade on its 21-5 season record. The Hawks go into the bout with a 15-8 record after their 95-54 league win over Phelps (Phelps, KY).
