Goodwin Tech Gladiators (New Britain, CT) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting University Hawks (Hartford, CT), 54-38 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Goodwin Tech upgrades its record to 10-6 on the season. The Gladiators travel to Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy (Hartford, CT) to clash with the Phoenix in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 20. The Phoenix go into the bout with a record of 5-10.

Next up, the Hawks clash with the Harvard Ellis Tech Eagles (Killingly, CT) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 20. University will attempt to upgrade on its 7-11 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 1-16 record after their 76-37 non-league loss to Tourtellotte (North Grosvenordale, CT).
