Jayton Jaybirds (Jayton, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Monahans Loboes (Monahans, TX), 75-63 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Jayton upgrades its record to 31-3 on the campaign. The Jaybirds travel to Crosbyton (Crosbyton, TX) to play the Chiefs in a non-league bout on Monday, February 19. The Chiefs come into the bout with a record of 9-13.
Next up, the Loboes play the Canyon Eagles (Canyon, TX) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 19. Monahans will attempt to upgrade on its 18-15 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 18-10 record after their 71-43 league win over Perryton (Perryton, TX).
