The Maloney Spartans (Meriden, CT) basketball knocked off the host Wethersfield Eagles (Wethersfield, CT), 77-65 in Friday's non-league test.
The Spartans (8-11) will now prepare for their test against Platt (Meriden, CT). The Panthers go into the Central Connecticut - South Colonial test with a 6-10 record. In their last test, Platt went down by Conard (West Hartford, CT), 68-53, in a non-league test.
The Eagles now own a 2-17 record. They play next when they host Hartford Public for a non-league test on Monday, February 19. Wethersfield will encounter a Owls squad coming off a 64-53 non-league loss to Plainville (Plainville, CT). The Owls record now stands at 3-16.
