Sun Valley Vanguards (Aston, PA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Marple Newtown Fightin' Tigers (Newtown Square, PA), 43-41 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Sun Valley upgrades its record to 16-9 on the season. The Vanguards travel to Radnor (Radnor, PA) to clash with the Raptors in a non-league bout on Wednesday, February 21. The Raptors go into the bout with a record of 18-3. Radnor won 37-27 in their recent league bout against Springfield (Springfield, PA)
