Spring Grove Lions (Spring Grove, MN) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Martin County West Mavericks (Sherburn, MN), 66-32 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Spring Grove upgrades its record to 22-3 on the season. The Lions travel to Mabel-Canton (Mabel, MN) to clash with the Cougars in a A Section 1 bout on Monday, February 19. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 13-11. Mabel-Canton won 98-79 in their recent non-league bout against Rochester STEM Academy (Rochester, MN)

Next up, the Mavericks clash with the New Ulm Cathedral Greyhounds (New Ulm, MN) in a A Section 2 bout, on Monday, February 19. Martin County West will attempt to upgrade on its 4-22 season record. The Greyhounds go into the bout with a 12-11 record after their 72-70 non-league loss to Central (Norwood-Young America, MN).
