February 16, 2024: Michigan City, IN 46360

Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Merrillville Pirates (Merrillville, IN) and the host Michigan City Wolves (Michigan City, IN), saw Merrillville's basketball squad hold off Michigan City by a tally of 73-68.

With the victory, Merrillville improves its record to 15-7 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Hobart (Hobart, IN) to play the Brickies in a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 17. The Brickies come into the challenge with a record of 7-11. Hobart lost 49-36 in their recent league challenge against Highland (Highland, IN)

Next up, the Wolves play the Laporte Wildcats (Laporte, MN) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 20. Michigan City will attempt to improve on its 10-11 season record.
