Ninilchik Wolverines (Ninilchik, AK) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Nikiski Bulldogs (Nikiski, AK), 59-41 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Ninilchik upgrades its record to 13-8 on the season. The Wolverines host Unalaska (Unalaska, AK) to clash with the Raiders in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 17. The Raiders go into the bout with a record of 2-2. Unalaska won 59-53 in their recent non-league bout against Cook Inlet Academy (Soldotna, AK)

Next up, the Bulldogs clash with the Kenai Central Kardinals (Kenai, AK) in a 3A Peninsula bout, on Tuesday, February 20. Nikiski will attempt to upgrade on its 0-11 season record. The Kardinals go into the bout with a 5-13 record after their 43-19 league loss to Seward (Seward, AK).
