In Friday's non-league outing, the Spotswood Trailblazers (Penn Laird, VA) basketball squad felled the visiting Alleghany Cougars (Covington, VA), by a margin of 42-26.
The Trailblazers (18-7) will now prepare for their outing against Turner Ashby (Bridgewater, VA). The Knights go into the non-league outing with a 22-3 record. In their last outing, Turner Ashby thwarted East Rockingham (Elkton, VA), 49-33, in a non-league outing.
The Cougars now own a 17-7 record.
