The Jayton Jaybirds topped the visiting Sands Mustangs basketball team by a final score of 40-20 in Friday's non-league game.
In their next game, the Jaybirds face the Borden County Coyotes (Gail, TX) in a non-league game, on Monday, February 19. Jayton will attempt to move on its 25-10 season record. The Coyotes enter the game with a 15-4 record after their 62-59 non-league win over Whitharral (Whitharral, TX).
With the defeat, Sands moves to 19-14 on the year.
