Mountain View Spartans (Mountain View, CA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Silver Creek Raiders (San Jose, CA), 43-33 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Mountain View upgrades its record to 20-5 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Menlo-Atherton (Atherton, CA) to play the Bears in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 17. The Bears come into the bout with a record of 14-10. Menlo-Atherton lost 46-40 in their recent league bout against Mills (Millbrae, CA)
