The South Carroll Cavaliers (Sykesville, MD) basketball nipped the host Walkersville Lions (Walkersville, MD), 53-49 in Friday's non-league test.
The Cavaliers (14-7) will now prepare for their test against Winters Mill (Westminster, MD). The Falcons go into the Carroll County test with a 2-16 record. In their last test, Winters Mill was tipped by Smithsburg (Smithsburg, MD), 54-33, in a non-league test.
The Lions now own a 11-10 record. They play next when they travel to Catoctin for a non-league test on Tuesday, February 20. Walkersville will encounter a Cougars squad coming off a 44-35 non-league win over Francis Scott Key (Union Bridge, MD). The Cougars record now stands at 18-4.
