Bridge City Cardinals (Bridge City, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Franklin Cougars (El Paso, TX), 15-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Cardinals now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Clear Brook for a non-league challenge on Friday, February 16. Bridge City will battle a Wolverines squad coming off a 4-2 non-league loss to Barbers Hill (Mt. Belvieu, TX). The Wolverines record now stands at 2-1.

With the loss, Franklin falls to 1-4 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Dickinson (Dickinson, TX) to battle the Gators in a non-league challenge on Friday, February 16. The Gators enter the challenge with a record of 1-0. Dickinson won 5-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Dawson (Pearland, TX)
