John Paul II Cardinals (Plano, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Richardson Eagles (Richardson, TX), 11-6 in a non-league challenge.

The Cardinals now own a 8-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Granbury for a non-league challenge on Friday, February 16. John Paul II will battle a Pirates squad coming off a 7-1 non-league loss to Mt. Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, TX). The Pirates record now stands at 2-1.

With the loss, Richardson falls to 0-5 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Hallsville (Hallsville, TX) to battle the Bobcats in a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 17. The Bobcats enter the challenge with a record of 0-1. Hallsville lost 8-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Keller (Keller, TX)
