The Kelley Mariners basketball team (Silver Bay, MN), was overwhelmed 67-43 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host Rock Ridge co-op [Eveleth-Gilbert/Virginia] Golden Bears (Eveleth, MN)
The Golden Bears now possess a 10-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host North Woods for a non-league battle on Tuesday, February 22. Rock Ridge co-op [Eveleth-Gilbert/Virginia] will battle a grizzlies team coming off a 113-63 non-league win over Mesabi East (Aurora, MN). The grizzlies record now stands at 13-4.
The Mariners (1-14) will now prepare for their battle against McGregor (McGregor, MN). The Mercuries come into the non-league battle with a 6-10 record. In their last battle, McGregor trounced Braham (Braham, MN), 48-46, in a non-league battle.
