The Oxford Academy Patriots softball team scored 17 runs and limited the visiting Bolsa Grande Matadors to 5 in the Patriots non-league triumph on Thursday.
With the triumph, Oxford Academy moves its record to 1-1 on the year. The Patriots host Saddleback (Santa Ana, CA) to clash with the Roadrunners in a non-league game on Friday, February 18. The Roadrunners come into the game with a record of 0-2. Saddleback lost 22-1 in their recent non-league game against Capistrano Valley Christian (San Juan Capistrano, CA)
In their next game, the Matadors clash with the Magnolia Sentinels (Anaheim, CA) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, February 22. Bolsa Grande will attempt to move on its 1-1 season record. The Sentinels come into the game with a 1-1 record after their 7-4 non-league win over La Quinta (Westminster, CA).
