Bennington Bulldogs (Bennington, KS) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Ellsworth Bearcats (Ellsworth, KS), 56-53 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Bennington upgrades its record to 16-3 on the season. The Bulldogs host Inman (Inman, KS) to play the Inman Teutons in a Heart of America bout on Tuesday, February 21. The Inman Teutons go into the bout with a record of 16-3. Inman won 38-33 in their recent non-league bout against Little River (Little River, KS)

Next up, the Bearcats play the Sacred Heart Knights (Salina, KS) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 21. Ellsworth will attempt to upgrade on its 11-8 season record. The Knights go into the bout with a 11-8 record after their 73-36 non-league win over Republic County (Belleville, KS).
