In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Bishop Walsh Spartans basketball team scored a tight 84-78 triumph over the Goretti Gael.
In their next game, the Spartans meet the Oak Hill Academy Warriors (Mouth of Wilson, VA) in a VISAA Division III match, on Saturday, March 4. Bishop Walsh will attempt to better on its 8-18 season record.
With the defeat, Goretti moves to 24-6 on the year. The Gael travel to Springdale Prep (New Windsor, MD) to meet the Lions in a non-league match on Tuesday, February 21. The Lions enter the match with a record of 17-10. Springdale Prep lost 72-66 in their recent non-league match against Grace Brethren Christian (Clinton, MD)
