The Southern Boone Eagles (Ashland, MO) basketball nipped the visiting Boonville Pirates (Boonville, MO), 52-45 in Friday's league test.
The Eagles (16-8) will now prepare for their test against Fatima (Westphalia, MO). The Comets go into the non-league test with a 15-6 record. In their last test, Fatima was tipped by Battle (Columbia, MO), 67-52, in a non-league test.
The Pirates now own a 7-12 record. They play next when they travel to Osage for a Tri-County - Southwest test on Monday, February 20.
