Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Chase County Longhorns (Imperial, NE) and the visiting Sutherland Sailors (Sutherland, NE), saw Chase County's basketball squad wallop Sutherland by a tally of 68-29.

With the victory, Chase County improves its record to 10-12 on the campaign. The Longhorns travel to Cozad (Cozad, NE) to play the Haymakers in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, February 21. The Haymakers come into the challenge with a record of 16-7. Cozad won 53-47 in their recent non-league challenge against McCook (McCook, NE)

Next up, the Sailors play the Sandhills Valley Mavericks (Stapleton, NE) in a C2 District 11 challenge, on Monday, February 20. Sutherland will attempt to improve on its 2-16 season record. The Mavericks come into the challenge with a 8-13 record after their 43-27 non-league loss to Holdrege (Holdrege, NE).
