In Friday's non-league match, the host Pinole Valley Spartans basketball team scored a decisive 70-21 triumph over the Hayward Farmers.
In their next game, the Spartans meet the St. Patrick-St. Vincent Bruins (Vallejo, CA) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, February 21. Pinole Valley will attempt to move on its 26-5 season record. The Bruins enter the match with a 17-12 record after their 59-55 non-league win over Piner (Santa Rosa, CA).
With the defeat, Hayward moves to 14-10 on the year.
