Lincoln Academy Eagles (Newcastle, ME) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Spruce Mountain Phoenix (Jay, ME), 65-55 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Lincoln Academy upgrades its record to 12-5 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Yarmouth (Yarmouth, ME) to play the Clippers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 21. The Clippers come into the bout with a record of 15-4. Yarmouth won 68-59 in their recent non-league bout against Maranacook (Readfield, ME)
