New Hampshire High School Basketball - Souhegan edges Merrimack Valley

The Souhegan Sabers (Amherst, NH) basketball nipped the host Merrimack Valley The Pride (Penacook, NH), 52-50 in Friday's league test.
The Sabers (12-4) will now prepare for their test against Manchester West (Manchester, NH). The Blue Knights go into the Division II test with a 14-3 record. In their last test, Manchester West got by Pelham (Pelham, NH), 60-49, in a league test.
The The Pride now own a 11-6 record. They play next when they travel to Kingswood for a Division II outing on Tuesday, February 21. Merrimack Valley will clash with a Knights squad coming off a 55-49 league loss to Hanover (Hanover, NH). The Knights record now stands at 7-11.
