In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Monessen Greyhounds basketball team scored a good 60-44 triumph over the Western Pioneers.
In their next game, the Greyhounds meet the Carlynton Cougars (Carnegie, PA) in a non-league match, on Wednesday, February 22. Monessen will attempt to better on its 23-2 season record.
With the defeat, Western moves to 14-15 on the year.
