South Knox Spartans (Vincennes, IN) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Washington Hatchets (Washington, IN), 55-48 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, South Knox upgrades its record to 14-7 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Pike Central (Petersburg, IN) to play the Chargers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 21. The Chargers come into the bout with a record of 13-8. Pike Central won 89-35 in their recent non-league bout against Brown County (Nashville, IN)

Next up, the Hatchets play the Evansville Memorial Tigers (Evansville, IN) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 24. Washington will attempt to upgrade on its 9-9 season record. The Tigers come into the bout with a 13-8 record after their 64-57 league loss to Evansville North (Evansville, IN).
