In Friday's non-league outing, the Rogers Royals (Rogers, MN) basketball squad nipped the host Anoka Tornadoes (Anoka, MN), by a margin of 68-65.
The Royals (15-6) will now prepare for their outing against Elk River (Elk River, MN). The Elks go into the AAAA Section 8 outing with a 18-6 record. In their last outing, Elk River got by Totino-Grace (Fridley, MN), 62-48, in a non-league outing.
The Tornadoes now own a 14-9 record. They play next when they host Maple Grove for a non-league outing on Tuesday, February 21. Anoka will encounter a Crimson squad coming off a 77-72 non-league loss to Eden Prairie (Eden Prairie, MN). The Crimson record now stands at 20-5.
