The Johnson Jaguars (San Antonio, TX) softball routed the host Austin Maroons (Austin, TX), 14-3 in Friday's non-league bout.

The Jaguars (2-1) will now prepare for their bout against Lake Belton (Temple, TX). The Broncos go into the non-league bout with a 0-1 record. In their last bout, Lake Belton was routed by Georgetown (Georgetown, TX), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

With the loss, Austin falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Maroons travel to Dripping Springs (Dripping Springs, TX) to face the Tigers in a 6A Region IV District 26 challenge on Tuesday, February 21. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 6-1. Dripping Springs won 8-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Smithson Valley (Spring Branch, TX)
