China Spring Cougars (China Spring, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Beckville Bearcats (Beckville, TX), 12-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Cougars now own a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host Montwood for a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 18. China Spring will battle a Rams squad coming off a 15-2 non-league loss to Lovejoy (Lucas, TX). The Rams record now stands at 1-4.

With the loss, Beckville falls to 1-4 on the campaign. The Bearcats travel to Antonian Prep (San Antonio, TX) to battle the Apaches in a non-league challenge on Friday, February 17. The Apaches enter the challenge with a record of 0-3. Antonian Prep lost 10-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Klein Collins (Spring, TX)
