Chippewa Falls Cardinals (Chippewa Falls, WI) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Superior Spartans (Superior, WI), 70-62 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Chippewa Falls upgrades its record to 2-20 on the season. The Cardinals host Merrill (Merrill, WI) to clash with the Bluejays in a non-league bout on Monday, February 19. The Bluejays go into the bout with a record of 7-15. Merrill lost 55-37 in their recent league bout against D.C. Everest (Schofield, WI)

Next up, the Spartans clash with the Hermantown Hawks (Hermantown, MN) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 22. Superior will attempt to upgrade on its 20-5 season record. The Hawks go into the bout with a 20-6 record after their 83-74 non-league win over Mound-Westonka (Mound, MN).
