In Saturday's non-league match, the host New Hope Trojans basketball team scored a decisive 63-38 triumph over the Gentry Rams.
In their next game, the Trojans meet the Yazoo City Indians (Yazoo City, MS) in a non-league match, on Wednesday, February 21. New Hope will attempt to move on its 26-2 season record. The Indians enter the match with a 26-5 record after their 46-32 non-league win over Pontotoc (Pontotoc, MS).
With the defeat, Gentry moves to 10-19 on the year.
