The Marquette Mustangs basketball team (Chesterfield, MO), was nudged 72-69 in Saturday's league battle with the host Webster Groves Statesmen (Webster Groves, MO)
The Statesmen now sport a 16-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Jackson for a non-league battle on Tuesday, February 20. Webster Groves will battle a Fighting Indians team coming off a 67-54 league win over Poplar Bluff (Poplar Bluff, MO). The Fighting Indians record now stands at 17-8.
The Mustangs (12-12) will now prepare for their battle against Kirkwood (Kirkwood, MO). The Pioneers come into the Suburban - Yellow battle with a 13-10 record.
