In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting South County Stallions basketball team scored a tight 49-43 triumph over the Mount Vernon Majors.
In their next game, the Stallions meet the Fairfax Lions (Fairfax, VA) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, February 20. South County will attempt to move on its 16-8 season record. The Lions enter the match with a 18-7 record after their 60-55 league win over Alexandria City (Alexandria, VA).
With the defeat, Mount Vernon moves to 14-10 on the year.
