In Saturday's non-league match, the host Saratoga Falcons basketball team scored a good 68-59 triumph over the Seaside Spartans.
With the defeat, Seaside moves to 13-16 on the year.

Seaside is 12-15 on the year, and was 7-7 in their league, following a 14-11/9-3 season last year
These 2 schools have never met in the last 20 years
In terms of common opponents this year, they both played only Pacific Grove: Saratoga lost by 4, Seaside beat them by 3 and lost by 11
Saratoga is ranked 41st in CCS, Seaside #71
Interestingly, while the Falcons are a strong 7-2 at home this year, Seaside is 9-4 on the road, far better than their 3-5 home mark
The Falcons have also won 8 of their last 12 for a great finish, and 2 of those losses were by only 3 points: both to league champ Cupertino
Saratoga has to feel very good about how they wrapped up the regular season, and how they played CCS #12 Cupertino, who went 24-1 this year!
Also a quick shoutout to the Falcons girls team, who despite their record were a much better team than last year, with many close losses
So we’re already looking forward to next year for the girls, returning all but 2 players, while the boys begin their playoff journey today
