The Mitchell Kernels (Mitchell, SD) basketball knocked off the visiting Roosevelt Rough Riders (Sioux Falls, SD), 52-35 in Saturday's league test.
The Kernels (17-1) will now prepare for their test against Brandon Valley (Brandon, SD). The Lynx go into the AA test with a 14-3 record. In their last test, Brandon Valley notched a victory over Douglas (Box Elder, SD), 68-34, in a league test.
The Rough Riders now own a 3-15 record. They play next when they host Aberdeen Central for a AA test on Tuesday, February 20. Roosevelt will encounter a Golden Eagles squad coming off a 48-38 league loss to Brookings (Brookings, SD). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 9-9.
