El Capitan Vaqueros (Lakeside, CA) fans were pleased Saturday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting University City Centurions (San Diego, CA), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Vaqueros confront the Central Spartans (El Centro, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, February 21. El Capitan will attempt to better on its 17-2 season record. The Spartans enter the challenge with a 18-4 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Foothills Christian (El Cajon, CA).

The Centurions now have a 11-8 record.
