Albuquerque Academy Chargers (Albuquerque, NM) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Belen Eagles (Belen, NM), 60-53 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Albuquerque Academy upgrades its record to 12-8 on the campaign. The Chargers travel to Bernalillo (Bernalillo, NM) to play the Spartans in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 20. The Spartans come into the bout with a record of 4-10.

Next up, the Eagles play the Grants Pirates (Grants, NM) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 20. Belen will attempt to improve on its 9-9 season record. The Pirates come into the challenge with a 3-6 record after their 61-42 non-league loss to Highland (Albuquerque, NM).
