The North Shore Mustangs routed the visiting Alief Hastings Bears softball squad by a count of 12-0 in Saturday's non-league battle.

The Mustangs (3-1) will now prepare for their battle against Cinco Ranch (Katy, TX). The Cougars go into the non-league battle with a 2-1 record. In their last battle, Cinco Ranch topped Fort Bend Travis (Richmond, TX), 10-3, in a non-league battle.

The Bears now sport a 1-9 record. They play next when they travel to Dawson for a 6A Region III District 23 battle on Tuesday, February 20. Alief Hastings will meet a Eagles squad coming off a 11-3 non-league loss to Lovejoy (Lucas, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 4-3.
