Canyon Cougars (New Braunfels, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Victoria East Titans (Victoria, TX), 11-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Cougars now sport a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they host Clemens for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, February 20. Canyon will face a Buffaloes squad coming off a 23-0 non-league win over Pflugerville (Pflugerville, TX). The Buffaloes record now stands at 6-0.

With the loss, Victoria East falls to 1-3 on the campaign. The Titans travel to Carroll (Corpus Christi, TX) to face the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, February 20. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 1-5. Carroll lost 8-5 in their recent non-league challenge against Conroe (Conroe, TX)
