Columbus Cardinals (Columbus, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Ganado Indians (Ganado, TX), 7-6 in a non-league challenge.

The Cardinals now own a 3-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Weimar for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, February 20.

With the loss, Ganado falls to 2-2 on the campaign. The Indians host El Campo (El Campo, TX) to battle the Ricebirds in a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 22. The Ricebirds enter the challenge with a record of 4-3. El Campo won 8-7 in their recent non-league challenge against Lexington (Lexington, TX)
