Huntsville Hornets (Huntsville, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host St. Agnes Academy Tigers (Houston, TX), 7-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Hornets now own a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mayde Creek for a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 17. Huntsville will battle a Rams squad coming off a 9-7 non-league loss to Conroe (Conroe, TX). The Rams record now stands at 2-2.

With the loss, St. Agnes Academy falls to 2-1 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Memorial (Houston, TX) to battle the Mustangs in a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 17. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a record of 4-1. Memorial won 19-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Aldine (Houston, TX)
