Santa Fe Indians (Santa Fe, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Johnson Jaguars (San Antonio, TX), 5-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Indians now own a 6-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to New Waverly for a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 17. Santa Fe will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 16-1 non-league loss to Johnson (San Antonio, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 0-1.

With the loss, Johnson falls to 4-2 on the campaign. The Jaguars travel to Churchill (San Antonio, TX) to battle the Chargers in a 6A Region IV District 28 challenge on Tuesday, February 20. The Chargers enter the challenge with a record of 0-5. Churchill lost 2-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Boerne-Champion (Boerne, TX)
